When an information will travel within the computer, the code of that information complies with a standard code. A typical standard code such as ASCII (American Standard Code of Information Interchange) is used in this code for 7 characters in each character. EBCDIC Code (IBM) EBCDIC (Extended Binary Code Decimal Interchange Code) is used on machines manufactured by International Business Machines. There are eight bits for each character in this code. It is possible to create 256 characters by this code.
